Aviation Security
& Safety Coordinator
Are
you an expert in aviation security and safety? Then, consider
this challenging opportunity with the Ministry of Natural Resources
to develop, coordinate and implement federal security and safety
regulations and provincial safety programs within aviation services.
You will: promote an aviation safety philosophy through the development
and implementation of policy, standards, strategies and staff
training; provide leadership to aviation safety officers; manage
the unit budget; conduct accident or incident investigations;
oversee the investigation of commercial aircraft accidents and
occurrences while on hire to the Ontario government. Location:
475 Airport Rd., Sault Ste. Marie.
Qualifications:
thorough knowledge of the Aeronautics Act and new federal airport
safety and security legislation; knowledge of aviation operational
and maintenance procedures; extensive knowledge of current accident-prevention
and risk-management principles, hazard identification and analysis,
accident investigative principles and procedures, as well as federal
health and safety and applicable legislation; experience in occupational
health and safety program design and delivery; demonstrated planning
and organization skills; proven problem-solving, conflict-resolution
and negotiation skills; excellent communication and customer service
skills.
Salary
range: $60,491 - $75,395
