The Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professional’s latest Salary Survey report is now available. The BCRSP conducts a survey of all Canadian registered safety professionals (CRSPs) every two years and the most recent survey was conducted in October 2013.

Assessment Strategies Inc. (ASI) was contracted to review data obtained from the 2013 survey and summarize the data in terms of key demographic and employment variables (e.g., geographical regions, career experience, and employment setting).  This data provides information and assistance to BCRSP’s certificants and also to the public.

A total of 3,699 invitations to complete the online survey were distributed to CRSPs from across Canada and 1,562 certificants participated, yielding a response rate of 42.2%.  This was a 7% increase in the response rate from 2011 and a 17% increase from 2009.

The results were consistent with previous surveys.  However, any noteworthy change in response patterns since the previous survey was highlighted in a section called “What has changed?”

The BCRSP Salary Survey is a valuable resource for certificants in terms of employment trends/settings, salary comparisons and career experience.
