Mississauga, ON – The Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) is pleased to announce that 124 occupational health and safety professionals have achieved the Canadian Registered Safety Professional (CRSP)® certification. 2015 ended on a high note for the recipients as they were welcomed into the elite circle of occupational health and safety professionals who hold the lucrative certification.
The recipients were granted certification on December 8, 2015 by the BCRSP Governing Board after demonstrating that they met the academic, experience and examination requirements of the BCRSP.
“The BCRSP has certified 5000+ individuals since its incorporation in 1976,” says Dave Turner, CRSP, Chair of the Governing Board. “The designation is widely recognized by employers as a benchmark for OHS positions and is regularly referenced as a minimum employment qualification.”
In obtaining their CRSP® certification these 124 individuals have demonstrated an in-depth knowledge of health and safety principles and practices as well as the ability to apply this knowledge to develop systems in the workplace in order to achieve optimum control over hazards detrimental to people, equipment, material and the environment.
CRSP’s, quickly become leaders in their industry and assist companies across Canada to operate safely, on a daily basis.
The new certificants wrote the CRSP® Examination this past October; 58% of first time writers successfully passed the CRSP® Examination, a result that is consistent with previous administrations of the examination.
In 2016, the examination will be offered three times across Canada (in both English and French) in February, June and October.
Congratulations to the new CRSP®s! For a full list of all recipients visit: www.bcrsp.ca.
