Certification Maintenance Program
The Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals operates a mandatory Certification Maintenance Program (CMP) with the intent of assisting CRSPs to keep pace with changes affecting professional oh&s practice. Details of the program are available at this link: Certification Maintenance Program
Effective immediately, organizations applying for course/seminar/conference CMPs must submit applications electronically to the BCRSP office. Complete the CMP Course Application Request form, save it then email the completed form along with a copy of the course outline to the BCRSP.
CMP course application confirmation letters will no longer be issued. Organizations should check the Board's website for CMP and approval number confirmation. Please allow 2-3 weeks for the processing of CMP applications.

Insurance Program
The Board is pleased to be able to offer several insurance benefits to CRSP's through our insurance partner, LMS Prolink Ltd. Details of the options currently available to Certificate Holders can be found here.
Distance Education
Increasingly, ohs&e professionals are turning to the internet for their professional development needs. While the BCRSP does not accredit or endorse the programs offered by the organizations, the information is provided as a courtesy to certification candidates and to current CRSPs. Volunteer of the Year
The Board's Volunteer of the Year program was initiated in 2001 in conjunction with its 25th anniversary and the United Nation's "Year of the Volunteer". To be eligible, candidates must be a CRSP in good standing, must have served in one or more volunteer capacities with the BCRSP other than the Governing Board, must have been a volunteer for a minimum of five years.
