Perceived Value of Certification Survey

In the summer and fall of 2023, the Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) conducted a Perceived Value of Certification Survey among certificate holders and their employers. Both surveys were designed to help the BCRSP improve communication regarding the value of certification to certificate holders, employers, potential CRSPs and CRSTs and the public.

60 OHS Practitioners Awarded CRST® Certification

The Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) is pleased to announce 60 individuals were awarded the Canadian Registered Safety Technician (CRST®) certification on October 12, 2023.

The CRST® certification was introduced in 2018 to support the evolving needs of industry. The CRST® certification process requires individuals to meet qualification standards, including education and experience requirements, pass the CRST® Examination, and stay up to date through a continuous professional development process.

Seeking Qualified Candidate to Serve as BCRSP Public Member

The Board of Canadian Registered Safety Professionals (BCRSP) is looking for a qualified individual to serve as the Public Member on the BCRSP’s Governing Board. (For an initial term of one year from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025)

As one of 10 Governors, the public member is expected to apply knowledge, skills, and experience to represent the viewpoints of the public to the deliberations of the Governing Board.
